Long Term Rental Accommodations In FloridaLong term rental accommodations in Florida can get pretty expensive. People planning to spend an entire season in sunny Florida, unless they're trust fund babies, can find such a prospect financially challenging. Traditionally, most people have tried for a sublet, to do a house-swap, or have investigated renting an apartment. We'll Be Summering at the Shore This YearThere is a new trend, however. More and more people are finding RVs to be Florida's long-term accommodations of choice. RVs offer much more room than hotel rooms. And though they're similarly appointed, they're much more affordable than a monthly apartment rental. Finally, with state- and privately owned RV park fees--even for long term visitors--to be so affordable, long term RV rental makes excellent financial sense. People considering an RV as a long term rental accommodation should opt for the largest model they can reasonable afford. Mid size Cs are the minimum for two people. But if folks can keep a handle on the clutter, a midsize C could be the most charming summer apartment anyone ever had. Folks that visit Florida from other places find that it's easiest to either drive their own car to Florida, and then tow it behind the RV, or simply fly to Florida, pick up the RV, and then rent a car afterwards. For people that prefer to drive their own SUV or truck, renting a fifth wheeler or other travel trailer--especially if they plan to leave the trailer parked for some time--is another option worth considering. Whichever you decide, many RV dealerships offer considerable price breaks to long term renters, making a good deal even better. ![]() Get all RV articles via
