Florida RV Rentals
Fort Lauderdale RV RentalsFort Lauderdale is yet another picture perfect spot in Florida. Fort Lauderdale is in the southeast region of the state, also the home to Miami Beach, the Keys, West Palm Beach and Delray Beach. This is the most tropical region of the state, and arguably, the most lush and beautiful, as well. Fort Lauderdale: Fun in the SunFort Lauderdale was once most well-known for its reputation as a raucous coed party zone during Spring Break. College students all over the world still migrate here every year. However, the area has changed a bit, and has added a few more attractions to its appeal including; a sophisticated and elegant downtown promenade; an area known as Riverwalk, which is home to fine museums, restaurants and high-end boutiques; and an expanded harbor now housing 35 individual cruise ships. In this Southeastern region, too, are five of the most beautiful State parks in Florida, each of which has stellar camping. Bahia Honda State Park (Best Beach in America 1992), John Pennekamp State Park, Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Long Key State Park, and Oleta River State Park. Each of these parks is distinctly different from the other, and each very much worth an overnight trip. Some feature snorkeling and scuba lessons, others are home to near-virgin tropical forests and prime wildlife viewing. Fishing, kayaking, swimming, and simply enjoying the natural beauty of this part of the state are all worthy draws to these beautiful state parks. Some people feel that the best way to enjoy all the facets of this attractive area is from within a rented motor home. Motor homes give visitors the ability to actually camp in these rare and unique natural environments, without sacrificing creature comforts. RV parks in the more urban areas, too, like Fort Lauderdale proper, are a great way to enjoy all the sophisticated city pleasures, without paying sophisticated city prices for overrated, cookie cutter rooms. ![]() Get all RV articles via
