Brochure DesignBrochures are an advertising format that has been around for a long time--but their longevity is directly related to their effectiveness. Brochures are a fantastic way to introduce potential customers or clients to your business. Ideally, they are simple to read, they provide a lot (but not too much) information, and they can quickly lead to potential sales. Building the Perfect BrochureThe first step in putting together a brochure is deciding what information should and (just as importantly) should not be included. You want to give new customers a nice introduction to your business, but at the same time you don't want to bombard them with so much information that they're going to be confused or lose focus. The key is to keep your pitch simple, and make it sound like you are ready to give your customers exactly what they want. Choosing the information for your brochure is a tricky task, and it always helps to look for assistance from someone who has done it before. You'll probably need a graphic designer to help you design your brochure, and before you get to the actual design and layout it would serve you well to discuss the included information with them. Since they have experience putting together brochures, they'll be able to tell you what has worked for people in the past. They may have great suggestions that you may have never even thought of. Design is of course another crucial aspect of any good brochure, and a good graphic designer will have the experience and the skills to help you with this aspect of the project. It's always a good idea to keep the design of your brochures consistent with your overall brand identity. Using a consistent font, logo and color scheme will help customers easily identify the brochure with your particular company. ![]() Get all Graphic Design articles via
