Medical BrochuresMedical procedures and pharmaceuticals are some of the most difficult things to advertise. They're extremely important but also extremely complex: crucial details, requirements and dangers can be very difficult to explain to the layperson. For this reason, well-written and designed medical brochures can be an incredibly effective way to inform potential customers before they make a decision about a particular procedure or drug. Designing Successful Medical BrochuresMedical brochures should always be seen as an educational rather than a marketing device. People in the medical industry need to make money, but they also have a responsibility to not force unnecessary products or procedures on people. For this reason, medical brochures and pamphlets should always be written and designed in a way that maximizes a person's ability to make informed decisions for themselves. The best way to write a good medical brochure is to start simple. Avoid any complex terminology in the early parts of the brochure, or explain it carefully when it is necessary. It's useful to break the brochure down into different sections: an introduction, secondary sections containing more detailed information, and a conclusion that addresses potential questions the reader might still have. In terms of design, medical brochures should always use simple, soothing layouts and colors. Use images only when necessary or when intended to make the reader feel more comfortable with the material. As with the actual text, you should never use images or designs that are nothing more than a sales pitch. ![]() Get all Graphic Design articles via
