Olympus C750

by Seth Cotterell

I always get excited when I get to write about Olympus cameras. They are just so well built, it's hard not to be enthusiastic about them. It doesn't matter what model I'm talking about either. There are so many excellent Olympus digital cameras, there is one for everyone, regardless of their needs or budget constraints.

One camera that it is especially hard not to jump up and down about is the Olympus C750. For digital cameras, smaller is better, and they don't come much smaller than the C750. When it premiered less than two years ago, it was the smallest four megapixel digital camera to feature a 10 times optical zoom capability. If you're a photographer, you know just how incredible that is.

Traveling with the Olympus C750

If travel is your passion, this is a great camera to take along with you. It is small enough to fit in your pocket, purse, or pouch. It's not much bigger than a wallet and it weighs less than pound. This is the perfect camera to snap pictures of the canals in Venice, the Great Pyramids, or Machu Picchu because it is small and its metal casing is weather resistant.

Before you rush out or logon and buy the C750, you should be aware that it is intended for use by more advanced photographers. It is not as easy to use or automatic as some other Olympus models. If you're not an experienced photographer, you might want to consider a more entry level Olympus digital camera like a Stylus instead, at least until you become a more proficient shutterbug.
