Custom Chopper Paint JobsWhether you're interested in buying a new chopper or are thinking of customizing your current motorcycle or chopper, a great paint job is one of the first things you're going to need. Paint is the finishing touch that makes any bike stand out. A great paint job can make an average bike look incredible, while a poor job can make a beautiful custom chopper look run-of-the-mill. Getting Your Chopper PaintedMost bikes have fenders, and unless yours is a seriously stripped-down chopper, you'll have to get your fenders painted along with the tank. Luckily fender painting isn't as expensive as tank painting, and many shops include the price of the fenders in the job. An important thing to think about when you're picking out your paint colors and design is how it's going to look across the entire bike, from the front fender to the tank to the rear fender. For instance, if you want a gold tank, you should be sure that you also want some gold over both of the wheels. You might not realize how much the color will dominate the bike until the job is done and both of the fenders are coated as well. It is of course possible to mix and match colors across the bike, but this requires some serious thought and design skill. The awesome thing about getting a custom paint job for your bike--whether it's a chopper or a stock Harley--is that it makes your bike unlike anyone else's. No matter where you ride, you'll never find someone with a bike like yours. Individuality is in many ways what cycling is all about, and a great custom paint job is one way to achieve it. ![]() Get all Motorcycles articles via
