Baseball Trophies
Tournament TrophiesParticipating in a tournament is one of the great joys of being involved in competitive sports. It brings a large group of well-trained athletes together for one exciting event, where watching other competitors perform can be just as much fun as competing yourself. If you're lucky enough, you may even go home with the ultimate prize: a shiny new tournament trophy. Tournament Trophy DesignMost of us are familiar with the classic tournament trophy design. It usually consists of a bronzed statuette posed to look like an athlete in whatever sport is taking place at that particular tournament. It could be a track runner, a volleyball player, or even a gymnast. This statuette is mounted on top of a wood and metal base with one or more supporting pillars. The size of a tournament trophy is usually a reflection of how big the tournament actually was. For young kids participating in a peewee soccer tournament, small six-inch trophies are more than appropriate. For a large multi-state high school championship tournament, however, a much bigger trophy would probably be in order. Trophy manufacturers offer enormous trophies made just for this type of occasion. You can get trophies as big as 52 inches tall, with whatever type of athlete you need mounted on the top. Regardless of the size of the trophy, there is usually always a plaque at the bottom that can be engraved with the name of the winning athlete or team. ![]() Get all Awards articles via
