Cheap Group Travel

by Rylee Newton

If you're looking to explore the world, and you want to come in under budget, you can find some great deals on group travel. In general, the more people in your group, the greater the savings. In fact, some travel companies offer a free room for every ten to 12 guests you book at the group rate.

One way to find great deals on group travel is to book land-only packages. This is the ideal vacation package for group members with frequent flyer miles they've been dying to cash in. Land packages do not cover airfare, but they do cover lodging, transportation and daily tours. I found a great group package to Amsterdam staring at just $430 per person for five nights. If you want to explore other countries, you can always book additional land packages as well.

If you've always wanted to explore the lush jungles of Costa Rica, you can find some fantastic deals on group travel. I found a group package for ten nights for roughly $950 per person. This vacation package includes visits to natural hot springs and Poas Volcano, an aerial trip through the rainforest, cruises through canals and wildlife refuges, and daily hiking excursions. The trip also includes three meals daily and lodging at every stop along the way.

U.S. Travel Deals

If you want to explore the United States before you head out to international travel destinations, you have plenty of affordable packages to choose from. I found an excellent deal on an eight-night excursion starting in Phoenix, Arizona, traveling to the Grand Canyon and ending up in Las Vegas, Nevada. This excursion priced out at around $800, but you can often find better prices during the off-season.
