Group Rail

by Rylee Newton

If you're planning a student vacation in Europe, you might want to consider traveling by train. One of the most popular ways to visit several different countries in a single trip is to buy a rail pass. Many international travel companies offer tourist packages that include rail travel, hotel accommodations, and guided tours.

When it comes to planning a student vacation, it's a good idea to plan special activities for each country. You can hire a travel planner to do this for you, or you can customize your European group vacation with a little research. When planning an international group vacation, it's important to make sure all group members carry their passports and at least one other piece of photo identification.

See the World by Rail

When traveling by rail, it's important to pack wisely. Most students carry the basics such as toiletries and a change of clothing in a backpack for easy access. In addition, it's a good idea to carry an English to foreign language dictionary. If group members get lost, it's important for them to be able to communicate their needs to people who don't speak English. When traveling with students, it's also a good idea to develop a plan of action in the event that a student goes missing.

Many students stay in youth hostels when visiting Europe. You can log onto the Internet to find contact information for youth hostels all over the world. If you're planning on staying in a hostel, it's important to research checkout times and availability of cooking equipment and showers.
