Relief From Arthritis Pain
Arthritis PainThe first word that comes to mind when the subject of arthritis comes up is pain. In millions of cases, arthritis causes so much pain that people cannot move around without some type of assistance. Pain is part of the body's warning system letting you know, albeit in a very unpleasant way, that something is wrong. People dealing with arthritis are very familiar with pain. The two types of pain linked to arthritis are chronic pain and acute pain. Acute pain is temporary and usually doesn't last longer than a few minutes. There is nothing cute about acute pain (I apologize for the bad joke). While acute pain does fade rather quickly, experiencing it can be excruciating, causing blackouts, dizziness and vomiting. Chronic pain, on the other hand, lingers for a long time. It can last for decades if the source is never addressed. Degrees of Arthritis PainThere are varying degrees of chronic pain, from mild to severe. Severe chronic pain literally disables people. People with arthritis typically deal with chronic pain. Tens of millions Americans suffer from some form of arthritis, primarily osteoarthritis, which affects over 20 million Americans. Rheumatoid arthritis is the most debilitating form of arthritis and afflicts over two million Americans. Drug companies have spent billions of dollars over the years developing different arthritis medications. Those who live with arthritis collectively spend billions of dollars every year on various arthritis medications to try and alleviate their arthritis pain. Recently, however, more natural treatments have emerged to address arthritis pain. Emu oil is one of many natural arthritis pain treatments that has demonstrated powerful results. It's certainly worth a try, especially if you've lived with chronic arthritis pain for years. ![]() Get all Arthritis articles via
