Florida PhotographersMany professional photographers, especially when working at special events, will have very specific requirements for doing their jobs. Some of the more demanding individuals may request that no other photos be taken so that they are ensured that their end products will be purchased. To eliminate as much stress and potential problems as possible, all of these fine details should be discussed at the first meeting with a photographer. Wedding Photography and TraditionTraditionally, wedding photographers in particular have practiced an assertive style of directing bride, groom, attendants, and family members into posed portraits. While this style remains prevalent, many couples are opting for a less intrusive role for their wedding photographer. The roots of traditional photography lie in the countless rituals and superstitions associated with a wedding ceremony. Whether it's the throwing of the garter or the standard white color of the wedding dress, the wedding day is full of cultural and religious traditions that date back centuries. Historically, the role of photography has been to capture particular poses, usually of the bride, groom, and attendants. It has long been considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride in full wedding attire before the ceremony, so these shots are typically taken right after the ceremony. Modern couples, however, often choose to go ahead and get the wedding photos out of the way before the ceremony. This way, the newlyweds are free to celebrate and head off to the reception without the stress of having to immediately pose for portraits. In fact, many couples will not want any kind of direction or limits imposed upon themselves or guests, opting for candid shots to be taken by a discrete professional. By looking at as many photographers in your area as possible, you are sure to find one that can cater to your needs. ![]() Get all Weddings articles via
