Redondo Beach Home Inspections

by Seth Cotterell

Redondo Beach is a lively and attractive South Bay community. It appeals to families, professionals, and those just getting started in life. At the end of 2004, the average home price in Redondo Beach and the surrounding South Bay communities was about $850,000. The median home price in the area was just under $700,000.

With prices like these, an investment in real estate in Redondo Beach is going to represent a major purchase. It will most likely be the largest investment you will make in your lifetime. Before you make such a major commitment, you will want to contact a local agency to conduct a Redondo Beach house inspection. The agency will dispatch a trained and certified home inspector to evaluate the condition of the property.

Redondo Beach House Inspection

On arrival, the Redondo Beach house inspector will begin his or her examination. The best inspectors will use the most advanced tools and technology in their analysis. Digital pictures can be taken to identify areas of weakness or concern--this is highly recommended. Inspectors will use sophisticated electronic equipment to check wiring, plumbing, air quality, and elevation. An elevation test checks to see how level the different components of the house are in relation to each other. A lack of level elevation levels often indicates a foundational problem, which may or may not be serious.

Redondo Beach house inspections are extremely thorough investigations. Inspectors check the exterior condition of the house for necessary maintenance or repair. They also check the interior to identify problems. Inspectors look at every square inch of the house, inside and out, looking for possible problems. The inspector will also check the foundation and roof of the house for potentially serious defects. Wiring and plumbing will be examined as well. If your prospective home inspector wants to charge extra to examine any of these things, then it's probably time to find a new inspector.
