Synephrine Fat Burners

Synephrine is a dietary supplement that is extracted from a citrus fruit called the bitter orange. Lately, supplements that contain synephrine have been gaining popularity as a viable option to the recently-banned substance called ephedra. This is because synephrine fat burners have demonstrated the ability to increase the body's ability to burn calories just as efficiently as ephedra.

Basically, scientists believe the reason synephrine is such an effective fat burner is due to its ability to stimulate the body's beta-3 adrenergic receptors. These receptors are responsible for starting lipolysis, which is the process of breaking down fat in the body. In contrast, when ephedra fat burners are taken, several other receptors in addition to the beta-3 receptors are stimulated.

Beta-1, beta-2, and alpha-1 receptors are the other receptors often stimulated by ephedra. Over-stimulation of these receptors is what is believed to be the cause of the sleeplessness and jitteriness as well as the increase in blood pressure and raised heart rates that people who took ephedra fat burners sometimes complained about. However, unlike ephedra, use of synephrine fat burners has not been linked to any of the negative side effects that afflict the cardiovascular or central nervous systems.

Is Synephrine the Next Big Thing?

With the banning of ephedra, synephrine fat burners have pretty much claimed the title of being the next big thing in the battle against the bulge. Synephrine just might be able to live up to its claim, as it is believed to provide the same increases in metabolism, fat burning, and energy levels as ephedra. It is also able to do all of this without any serious side effects.
