San Francisco Smile Makeovers

by Tara Peris

In San Francisco, smiles constitute the new target in the makeover craze. Although facelifts and breast augmentation remain perennial favorites, consumers are catching on to the idea that many smaller changes can have a much bigger impact. When you brighten a smile, you can light up the whole face and take years off instantaneously.

Smiling on the Inside

As a culture, we are fairly obsessed with self-improvement. Whether we tackle the psyche, armed with self-help books and guides to be more successful, or whether we zero in on the physical aspects of our appearance, we are committed to being the best we can be. In the past, this meant dramatic makeovers complete with plastic surgery and the like.

These days, consumers seem to be inclined toward a more moderate (and perhaps more useful) approach. Rather than tackling everything at once, they are strategically targeting key areas of interest. This is where the smile makeover comes into the picture. A growing number of people are recognizing that when you improve your teeth, you not only improve your smile, but your entire outlook on life.

Research has documented the value of smiling time and again. Such work suggests that the simple act of smiling releases tiny amounts of seratonin and this release actually makes us a little bit happier. When you make cosmetic changes, you set your smile free to dazzle and delight. In turn, you ensure not only physical improvement, but emotional enhancement as well.
