High Quality

by Andrew Kozlov

The highest quality sales managers listen to complaints and respond to criticisms of their office's structure. Oftentimes, a dysfunctional office can be a source of stress for your employees. Given that bad attitudes have the potential to spread through your workforce like the common cold, it's important to react quickly and assertively in the face of quality assurance troubles.

Bearing this in mind, you may want to draw up an over-arching quality manual for your company. Don't create this document in a vacuum. Solicit the opinions of your employees and managers, and make it a working document. By responding organically to customer complaints and employee reactions, you'll slowly etch away at underlying ills and begin to craft a more ideal working environment.

Building a High Quality Work Environment

At the same time, your high-quality manual shouldn't just be a list of procedures and processes. At the heart of your instructions should be a thesis. While the idea of creating a slogan or maxim for your business may seem juvenile, many of the most powerful global companies use just such a process. Indeed, theme based mission statement creation has been popular for years.

All that being said, remember that no quality management approach can be perfectly meticulous. Define your circle of concern and your circle of influence. There are many things in your circle of concern that are beyond your control--world political dynamics, for instance. However, if you focus just on the important items within your circle of influence, you can go a long way to creating a more productive and fun workplace.
