Shark Diving
Shark DiversCareer choices, in this day and age, depend upon many things. Schooling and experience play a large part, but many people now change careers to pursue their passions and dreams. While it is often a difficult challenge to come up with something to do that you truly enjoy, day in and day out, those who do find this perfect balance are often some of the happiest people on earth. Consider those who love the ocean. Spending hours behind a desk, wishing each day that they were out in the sun and surf might be enough to make them transition to a different career. Perhaps this is how professional shark divers get their start, leaving other jobs for something much more rewarding. Shark Diving for AmateursTo dive with sharks, however, you do not have to be a professional. Simple SCUBA certification is enough to put you right up next to the dorsal fin of these powerful animals. There are many trained professionals who offer diving trips with sharks. They will teach you any special techniques and safety rules necessary for shark dives. Some of the available opportunities are free dives or submersible cage dives, suitable for those who have some diving experience. Others are cage dives, designed for deeper water. If shark diving interests you, but you do not have proper certification, you may consider a cage dive. There are specific cage diving trips designed for those who have no underwater certification. If you have been on vacations and have enjoyed snorkeling and swimming among the tropical fish, perhaps your next trip can include something a little more adventurous. ![]() Get all Adventure Travel articles via
