Subaru Forester Parts

by Andrew Kozlov

The Forester is one of the best-selling Subaru wagons. Related to the Impreza, the Legacy, and the WRX wagons, the Forester delivers grace and speed despite its size. That said, the standard Forester doesn't deliver the lightning fast reactions that you might expect from a luxury sport utility vehicle. So what are some ways to upgrade the Forester to extract better performance?

The most dramatic change you can make is to upgrade to an STI engine. An STI turbocharger will give your Forester advanced capacities, enabling you to accelerate faster, turn quicker, and generally drive harder. If you do upgrade to an STI turbocharger, it's probably smart to rework your brakes, so as to accommodate for potential fast stops.

Another way to upgrade your Subaru Forester is to add custom headlights and taillights. Front-end lighting choices include Plasma Blue Fog headlights, which produce super intense 55 watt illumination. The Blue Fog headlights are much less expensive than High Intensity Discharge lights, but they offer comparable luminosity, casing, and wattage.

In terms of suiting your Subaru Forester with better brakes, you might want to check out high-performance Carbotech brakes. Carbotech is a manufacturer which produces brake pads for race car drivers. They sell a street brake pad, the Bobcat, which delivers fast and smooth braking up to 900° Fahrenheit--if you drive at normal highway speeds, you won't even approach this maximum functional capacity.
