Fiji Honeymoons

by Wendy Jackson

After the hustle and bustle of the wedding and all the planning that it entails, many couples are treating themselves to an exciting (and perhaps more importantly, relaxing) honeymoon in Fiji. With more than 300 islands to choose from, they are never at a loss as to where to go. The Fiji Islands have become a popular destination for people from around the world because it offers intimacy, activities, and culture.

The Magic Word Is Fiji

While on a honeymoon, couples gravitate toward the meke shows. These are Fijian dance shows. Here they see natives dancing to cultural music while dressed in exotic native dresses made from tapa cloth. Some couples even have their own native garments made as mementos of their honeymoons.

Other couples find that going on a sunset cruise is a perfect way to end their busy day. Most resorts provide this service to their guests. Entertainment is provided by the resort on the cruise, and tropical drinks and punches are plentiful. Couples unwind from a day of water play and romance sparks under the stars. A few couples prefer to not see another living soul on their honeymoons. This option is available for the couple who desires the ultimate privacy. If you so desire, you and your sweetie can have a beach all to yourselves without having to look over your shoulder. Meals miraculously appear, as well as fresh towels and drinks.

Honeymoons in Fiji are rated highly because of the excellent service and numerous activities available. Doing some research online will pull up much information for the couple thinking about traveling to the South Pacific for their honeymoon.
