Vista CA Real Estate Agents

by Sandy Mitchell

Vista, California is a middle-class, growing community of about 94,000 residents, northeast of San Diego. Housing is relatively affordable here, at least by Southern California standards. Much of the housing available here is newly built, although charming mid-century arts and crafts bungalows can also be found.

Using the services of a good real estate agent can make buying or selling a home much less stressful. Not only can an agent guide a buyer or seller through the myriad of paperwork involved in a home buying and selling transaction, she can make sure all parties are fully informed and that they agree on all points. No one wants surprises at a house closing.

How to Find a Good Agent

When buying or selling a home, look for an agent with experience in the area. Recognizing nuances in home values, an agent's insights into local schools, shopping, and churches as well as an agent's being able to draw from a network of contacts can aid immeasurably in selling and in buying a home. A good agent might work for a small business or a large corporate real estate agency. Access to the Internet has leveled the playing field considerably.

Interview an agent before agreeing to work with them. Is she interested in you or do you feel she is just interested in the sale? Does she offer positive hints and suggestions or is she negative? Does she listen to you or is she too busy talking? A good agent cares about the seller and the buyer.
