Miami Beach Hotel Suites

by Sandy Mitchell

A growing trend in hotel accommodations is the all-suite hotel. These properties offer each guest a multi-room suite, including a separate bedroom, living room, and bath. These suites are particularly suited to families, as parents can stay in one room and still be near the kids watching videos or playing in another room. There are several such hotels in Miami Beach, both in South Beach and further north along the coast.

All-suite hotels typically are recently built hotels with a wide range of amenities. Frequent offerings include TVs with DVD players and VCRs, microwave ovens and small refrigerators, and coffee/tea makers. Often, an all-suite hotel will include a continental breakfast of juice, coffee, and pastry in the room rates.

Art Deco Hotel Suites

Tucked amid the Art Deco hotels of Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue are a couple of all-suite hotels. These period buildings have taken smallish rooms and by knocking down walls and combining spaces, have created unique, spacious accommodations. Design features such as hardwood floors, marble baths, and even private sundecks make these properties a special place to spend your vacation.

Amenities offered by Art Deco suite hotels vary. Frequently included are continental breakfasts, airport shuttle transportation, and in-room massages. In addition to these one-of-a-kind accommodations, guests have the Atlantic Ocean within walking distance as well as South Beach's eclectic dining and nightclub options. Somewhat more expensive than traditional one-room accommodations, Art Deco suite hotels give visitors a uniquely Floridian experience.
