The twelfth busiest airport in the country and third in international passengers, Miami airport is served by 72 airlines flying non-stop to 144 destinations in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, South America, Mexico, and Europe. Miami International Airport is located just ten miles west of Miami Beach, adjacent to I-95 and other major traffic arteries. Arriving and departing Miami International Airport is easy. Rental cars are also available and useful for more in-depth exploring in South Florida. Eighteen car rental firms are represented at the airport. Registration counters for many of them are located in the baggage claim area of the arrival terminals. Customers check in there and are taken by shuttle bus from the terminal to the rental car lot.
