Golf Camps

by Jason White

Many golf camps are designed to accommodate players of varying ages and skill levels. Usually campers are placed into separate groups based on their skill level. This way, beginning golfers are given the chance to learn the basic fundamentals of golf in a safe and non-competitive environment. This takes away any pressure or embarrassment a beginner might feel when first trying out the sport.

Each camp should have trained instructors so that campers can truly learn golf the proper way. Some camps even feature professional golfers as instructors or guests. Overall, each camp is designed to improve the skills that exist in its campers regardless of age or aptitude for the game. At its best, a stay at a golf camp will lead to greater enjoyment of the game as well.

What's Included in Golf Camp Packages?

Many of the camps give the campers access to clubs, golf bags, golf balls and tees. Instruction and playing time will most likely be offered daily, however, the setup and schedule of each camp will differ greatly. A good camp will also have plans in place for when the weather doesn't permit golf. These will typically include activities such as indoor drill activities or instructional videos.

Camps usually wind up with a final tournament, though this isn't always the case. Tournaments are a great way for developing golfers to put their skills to the test. However, the atmosphere should still remain friendly and fun. For all the specifics on the activities and fees for golf camps, you will need to contact the camp you have in mind.
