Golf Resort Packages

by Jason White

Many places offer fantastic packages for golfers and non-golfers alike. They range from simple two-night stays for a few hundred dollars to week-long trips for a few thousand. Many of the pre-created packages that travel agencies and golf resorts offer are set in terms of the activities available. With other packages, the itinerary can be specifically designed to focus on anything a golfer may want.

From California to the Carolinas, there are thousands of places to travel. Of course, there are just as many places to travel overseas as well. Many golf travel oriented sites have reviews and ratings for a wide variety of golf courses, hotels and golf resorts throughout the US and internationally. Reading reviews about the courses and accommodations ahead of time is your best bet for finding something that suits you.

A Golf Package for Everyone

For every occasion and any budget, there are packages available at nearly all of the best golfing venues. One can choose from the all-inclusive resorts or a sample of a variety of nearby courses while staying in a centrally located resort. In terms of lessons, some resorts offer them for free, while others charge. In most cases, private instruction will cost extra. If you are looking for a bit of one-on-one instruction, you will definitely want to schedule lessons ahead of time.

To get started, be sure to view the samples of the pre-planned vacations that different resorts and travel agencies have to offer. It's always best to do a little comparison shopping beforehand, even if you have a good idea in mind of the resort you want to stay at. Keep in mind that the packages many resorts show on their websites are just samples and many places will be willing to make substitutions or create a custom package. Depending on the season, a traveler might be able to get an even better deal on some of the prime areas. For the budget-conscious golfer, this is definitely the way to go.
