Custom Gaming Laptop

by Ivan Gale

It is possible to get a laptop that performs like a gaming desktop computer, with jaw-dropping graphics and thundering audio effects. Souped-up laptops are out there, but be prepared for a compromise in at least one category, such as weight, performance, or battery power. Some features are impossible to replicate on laptops, however, such as the use of two video cards and central processing units.

Whether it be in components, weight, size, or battery length, it's hard to put all of these features together within an affordable price range. Gaming notebooks will probably cost more than $1,500 to begin with, and from then on, the sky's the limit. To avoid paying an arm and a leg for a gaming-ready laptop, consider putting in the extra time and effort to customize.

Custom Gaming Laptops Offer High Quality at Value Prices

Unabashed gaming devotees already understand what the casual gamer has yet to fully grasp: a regular laptop can play games, but it won't do them justice. The requirements for today's grandiose, sophisticated computer games require large, high-resolution screens and superpowered processors and audio and video cards.

Check out product reviews that measure frames per second. These reviews are an indispensable source on not only laptops and desktops, but also on individual components such as video cards. They'll compare the latest in the ATI Radeon line versus nVidia's latest product and tell you who comes out on top. That's helpful stuff, so don't be too quick to make a purchase without first consulting the experts.
