Free Logo Design

by Patricia Skinner

Free logo design is always an option if you are trying to establish a business presence on the lowest possible budget. Bear in mind that the free version of anything is usually not going to have the same results as something for which you've paid. However, there are exceptions to any rule.

One exception to this rule would be if you are lucky enough to hook up with a good graphic designer who wants to get some samples for his or her portfolio. In this case a free logo design for you would give the designer some benefits too. This arrangement would be especially profitable to a designer if you also agree to recommend them to your business contacts.

Logo Design as Part of a Package

Some website hosting companies and design companies will offer free logo design when you sign up with them for some other service. There will nearly always be limitations on the logo design aspect of the agreement. You should expect to be offered a design from a template. Bear in mind that a logo should be as distinctive and individual as possible, and that this type of agreement will probably produce mediocre results.

Quite possibly the best way to get a free logo design is to design it yourself. This is especially feasible if you already have a working knowledge of an illustration software program, have access to that software, and understand the concepts of logo design. If you need a few pointers, you can read up on the concept of logo design on the Internet quite easily.
