Madrid Hotel Reservations

by Sandy Mitchell

One of the first things you notice about Madrid is her vitality. That barely suppressed energy is evident in Madrid's cuisine, music, café life, and the ballet of cars rushing around the city. Stay a weekend or a week in Madrid to absorb this excitement. Madrid has vibrant nightlife, delicious cuisine, educational sights, and lots of fun for visitors of all ages.

At Home in Madrid

Accommodations in Madrid vary from large, luxury hotels to small bed and breakfast inns, from historic, moderately priced hotels to minimalist hostels. Choosing the right one for you depends on your needs. Large hotels offer many amenities, such as multiple restaurants, health spas, room service, and a concierge to cater to your whims.

Bed and breakfast inns offer a chance to immerse yourself in a typical Madrid neighborhood and to interact with frequently charming hosts. These rooms are generally smaller and may not offer a private, en-suite bathroom. They usually do not have elevators, air conditioning, or a restaurant. It is also polite to remember that you are staying in someone's home and not to return late in the evening and wake everyone up.

Make your Madrid hotel reservations with your local travel agent, via an online hotel broker, such as hotels.com, or with a tour company specializing in travel to Spain. You can frequently save money by purchasing your airfare and hotel accommodations in a tour package. When comparing prices, be careful to compare like prices. Tour packages generally include all taxes and service charges. Individual hotel rates, generally, do not.
