Frontpage Training

by Joshua Billings

Microsoft FrontPage is certainly a powerful tool. Like any powerful tool, however, it takes users a long time to get familiar with it. Many people might be interested to know if there's a resource out there that can help them speed up the process of getting from the basic steps of website authoring to its more advanced maneuvers.

Luckily, there are many options out there for those people looking for FrontPage tips and tactics. These include the many second-party sites (such as the popular FrontPage World) that have popped up in the wake of FrontPage's enormous popularity, to provide downloadable add-ons, news, and help to the curious user. These pages usually include some sort of training courses that can be accessed over the Internet.

If you want to go straight to the horse's mouth, however, the Microsoft Office homepage provides a variety of courses that you can download and participate in right on your computer. Using audio, text, and animated examples, these courses clearly illustrate a huge range of FrontPage options. Course titles range from "Creating a Web Page with FrontPage," to "Hyperlinks," to even "Liven Up Web pages with Interactive Buttons."

Each of these training courses typically lasts from between 40 minutes to one hour. They follow specifically-outlined goals, and include a short, non-graded test at the end, so that you can test your knowledge once you're done. All in all, they're an easy, fast, and entirely free way to learn more about the powerful FrontPage program.
