Promotional tools are important to any marketing strategy. Whether you're shopping around for new gifts for the upcoming tradeshow season, or simply looking for a proper thank you item for new clients, promotional items can be beneficial and cost-effective. Using promotion correctly can make a difference in your marketing efforts and ultimately your sales numbers.

Promotional Tools for Consideration

Tradeshows are filled with the usual items such as pens, highlighters and modem cords. Don't waste your money on what everyone else is handing out. To stand out above the rest doesn't necessarily have to cost you a lot more money. With a little extra research, some thought and creativity, you could increase your booth traffic by 50%!

Higher end items such as travel mugs, golf shirts and umbrellas, may cost more per piece, but the overall effect of your promotional tools will have far-reaching and impressive effects. Don't hand out a tradeshow giveaway to just anyone that walks in your booth. To effectively and affordably use your promotions, you should screen your candidates.

Screen Your Candidates

Talk to each one and find out what services and products they are looking for. Once you have qualified them as a potential lead, invite them to fill out a response card; ensuring you have all their contact information. Once they have done this, gladly hand them an umbrella and thank them for their time. You'll be amazed at the results of this simple gesture.
