Las Vegas Convention Center

by Grace Moore

The Las Vegas Convention Center first opened its doors on April 29, 1959. In its first year, it hosted over 20,000 people for eight different conventions. The Las Vegas Convention Center has become a beautiful and modern 3.2 million square foot event arena that plays host to hundreds of thousands of people each year. It is a facility known for its versatile accommodation of many different types and sizes of events.

Because it is so large, the Las Vegas Convention Center allows for multiple events to be in progress while several other events are being set up and assorted others are being taken down. The convention center also promises that all of your needs will be met with professional and prompt service. They pride themselves on efficiency and happy customers who will return again soon for their next meeting or convention.

The cost of hosting an event at the LVCC is relatively affordable at about 25 cents per square foot per show day. They also offer comprehensive food and beverage service from their kitchen facilities. In general, any type of banquet, brunch, buffet, dinner, lunch, or snack can be provided. Furthermore, the convention center is located in close proximity to the famous Las Vegas Strip, downtown, and McCarran International Airport.

The LVCC facility also offers 5,500 parking spaces, cable and closed circuit television access, and audio recording rooms for your convenience. For the audio recording rooms, they charge a small fee. Getting to and from the convention center and your hotel should also be easy since there are over 100,000 hotel rooms located within minutes of LVCC.
