Las Vegas Conventions
Las Vegas Convention ScheduleThe Las Vegas Convention schedule is a diverse listing of people, organizations, and businesses featuring everything from politics and medicine to clothing and cars. When it comes time for annual meetings, fundraisers, exhibits, launches, informational seminars, and high school reunions, Las Vegas is the place to congregate and meet. Event planners like to host conventions in Las Vegas because they know that people show up. Most everyone knows that Las Vegas will be fun even if they are going for an accounting seminar. Generally conventions last around four days, and there are usually several conventions occurring simultaneously throughout the city. Because Las Vegas gets about 360 days of sun per year, there really isn't an off season. The only time some might avoid Vegas is during the peak summer weeks when temperatures can reach over 105°F. Even if you do end up in Las Vegas during the sizzling summer months, you can be assured of finding air conditioning and cold drinks in virtually every establishment. The schedule for each month contains lists of eclectic groups ranging from serious political organizations like the NAACP to the North American Bridal Association featuring all kinds of silk and lace creations. Even religious organizations like the Episcopal Church book conventions in Las Vegas. There is room for everybody and it seems that everybody wants to go. Since Las Vegas is one of the convention capitals of the world, it's important to book conventions early. Slots fill up quickly and cheap hotel rooms get snatched up. If you are looking for cheap deals, don't book your convention for the same week or weekend as one of the massive 100,000 delegate conventions. Prices during those weeks will be unusually high. You can check ahead for Las Vegas convention schedules to ensure that you will be arriving the same week as the small conventions of less than 100 people. ![]() Get all Las Vegas Travel articles via
