Reno Nevada

Reno Casinos

by Patricia Cagle

Reno might be located in the picturesque mountains of the Sierra Nevada and it might be next door to sparkling Lake Tahoe, but the city's geographical appeal is not the reason people come to visit. As spectacular as it may be, Reno's natural beauty takes a backseat to the city's gaming strip. Host to a sparkling collection of luxury casinos and resorts, the Reno strip is a natural wonder all its own.

A gaming Mecca since Nevada legalized gambling casinos in 1931, Reno boasts some of the best and most luxurious casino resorts in the world. The birthplace of the famous Harrah's Casino as well as many other historical gaming sites and restaurants, Reno is an authentic gaming town.

There are many popular casinos in Reno, one of which is the Peppermill. Considered one of Reno's premier resort casinos, the Peppermill is known for its luxurious accommodations and outstanding gaming rooms. With eight on-site restaurants, 14 on-site bars, and a heated swimming pool (complete with waterfall), guests of the Peppermill don't have to look far for entertainment and comfort.

Another popular casino resort in Reno is the Eldorado. Similar to the Peppermill, the Eldorado is a full-service resort. Featuring beautifully appointed guest suites, scrumptious restaurants, world-class entertainment and (of course) a spectacular casino, the Eldorado is an excellent accommodations choice for Reno visitors who like to play.
