Ojai Real Estate

Ojai Properties

by Jordan Weitz

The Ojai Valley is made up of several communities. They are surrounded by the majestic Los Padres National Forest, and located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. The city of Ojai is perhaps the largest tourist draw, as it is home to some of the area's best restaurants and attractions. However, other small communities sprinkled within the valley may provide cost-effective options for those looking to purchase properties and make Ojai a part or full-time residence.

Recent census bureau statistics estimate that there are 32,000 residents living in the Ojai Valley. Buying a piece of property is no small expense, but as investors will tell you, you may find such a purchase worth your time and money.

Most real estate properties in the Ojai area begin at roughly $400,000. For higher price tags you can expect to encounter a significant piece of property, and Ojai area properties are some of the most scenic in California.

If you are looking for a more modest home on a smaller piece of land, Ojai abodes with three to four bedrooms and two to three baths are available for varied prices. Prospective Ojai property buyers should keep in mind the areas outside of the city; some communities include Oak View, Meiners Oaks, Casitas Springs, Mira Monte, Persimmon Hill, Saddle Mountain, the Arbolada and Rancho Matilija. Many of the area's permanent residents live in one of these communities. They provide quiet and peaceful residential opportunities; with a little luck, you might get more bang for your dollar here as well.
