The area is home to several communities including the increasingly sought-after Saddle Mountain Ranch. Homes tend to be slightly more expensive in this growing area, right next to the city of Ojai. Another prime area due north of Mira Monte is Meiners Oaks. Homes in this area tend to be bit older, and the community itself contains approximately 500 homes. Because of its closeness to area shopping, hiking trails and the traditional charm of its homes, the real estate market tends to shift very quickly in Meiners Oaks: homes sell quickly. Homes in the area also tend to be a bit cheaper than those within neighboring Mira Monte.
