Ojai Accommodations

by Jordan Weitz

The best Ojai accommodations are those that make visitors feel truly welcome. The citizens of Ojai relish the unrushed environment, the scenery, the opportunity to get to bed by 10 PM start the next day with coffee from the farmers' market. Accommodations in Ojai strive to bring these local values to visitors of the Valley. Fortunately, there is no shortage of options when it comes to where and how to lodge in Ojai. Hotels, housing rentals, bed and breakfasts as well as Native American-style tents are available to Ojai's tourists.

Keep in mind that, because of the brilliant year-round weather in Southern California, accommodations in Ojai are likely to always house a few travelers. Average winter temperatures are just below seventy degrees, and they rarely climb above ninety in the summertime. Since Ojai has become such a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, be sure to call well in advance if you want accommodations close to Lake Casitas, Los Padres National Forest or Matilija Canyon.

If attending music or film festivals is more your cup of tea, you will be sure to find some compatriots in Ojai. Summer visitors looking for accommodations may find Ojai to be especially bustling. Both the Shakespeare festival and the city's regionally popular classical music series take place in the summertime.

Like anywhere else, planning a trip to Ojai takes a bit of foresight. If you're traveling with a couple of friends and want to experience a unique brand of Southern California charm, look into bed and breakfasts for accommodations. If traveling in a large group, you may be best fit for accommodations in Ojai such as hotels or rental homes.
