Dell Axim Screen Protectors

by Kathleen Gagne

First off, it is definitely amazing that handheld computers exist at all. Just a few years ago, these products were barely on the horizon, and now every business person, especially those who travel, can benefit from the advantages of a small portable computer. On top of that, the number of great accessories is multiplying as well, making life on the road easier and easier.

Everyone from brokers to truckers is tracking expenses, recording sales, accessing data, and playing complex games while, at the same time, managing time itself even better. Typically, handheld computers such as the Dell Axim use touch technology. This means using a stylus to tap the screen to perform functions.

Protecting a Valuable Tool

Handheld users overwhelmingly recognize that the small screens are more fragile than they would like them to be. Screens are susceptible to wear and tear from the stylus such as clouding. They can be scratched and even dented if the user pulls out a pen instead of a stylus. To keep the screen in great condition, it is important to protect it as soon as possible after purchase.

While a sturdy case can protect the handheld, a number of screen protectors can reduce or eliminate damage to the screen. Protectors usually cost well under $10 and often come in multi-unit packages. Newer versions can be applied easily with virtually none of the air bubbles that were present when these products first hit the market. As an added bonus, screen protectors may also reduce glare and enhance screen quality as well as filter out harmful ultra-violet rays. Look for protectors designed specifically for the handheld you own.
