Kyocera Screen Protectors

by Kathleen Gagne

Touch screens are particularly vulnerable to repetitive stylus use as well as to accidental scratches. One result of repetitive use is a slight blurring or fuzzing in areas most often tapped. Avoiding scratches is rather simple; all the user has to do is to never, ever drop the phone when the screen is exposed, which, of course, is easier said than done.

Since the screen is the single most important and expensive part of any personal digital assistant and the most expensive component to replace, a small investment in protection is a wise move. Screen protectors are available from a variety of sources and usually come in dimensions specific to a particular device. In recent years, screen protectors have become more user friendly as well as stronger and better able to protect the screen.

Small Size Equals Big Protection

It is important to find a screen protector that exactly matches the device being used. Popular smart phone brands, such as Kyocera, have screens in several different sizes and shapes, and there are screen protectors designed to fit almost every one of them. When searching for screen protectors online, it is a good idea to check out customer comments and ratings.

Screen protectors generally come in packets of from five to twelve units. Newer protectors tend to be easier to apply to the device screen than those developed just a few years ago. They may also offer additional advantages such as glare reduction. The tack that holds the protector to the screen is often stronger and yet easier to remove when it's time for a replacement.
