Laptop Screen Protectors
Protect Electronic DevicesAs electronic devices become more and more popular, as well as smaller and smaller, a need has arisen to keep them safe from drops, moisture, screen damage, and more. Depending on the size of the device, the only protective option may be a hard case. At the same time, no device can stay in its case 100 percent of the time. Typically, screens and keyboards are the most vulnerable to damage. Keyboards can be destroyed by a minimal amount of moisture, while screens are subjected to bangs, nicks, dust intrusion, and extensive usage damage, especially those that support touch screen technology and the use of a stylus. It is extremely difficult to protect keyboards no matter what their size, but screens are a different story. Screen Protectors for Electronic DevicesThere are a huge number of personal digital assistants, laptops, tablet PCs, and notebooks that are susceptible to costly, and sometimes device-destroying damage. The most expensive and most difficult component to replace on most electronic devices, whether handheld, PDA, or smart phone, is the screen. Protecting the screen, therefore, is one move that can extend the life of the device. Device-specific screen protectors can be obtained from a variety of vendors, both online and in local electronics outlets. Cost varies depending on the size of the device, with screen protectors for handhelds running around $5 or less. Screen protectors for larger devices, such as tablet PCs, can retail for up to $50. Most screen protectors are made of soft, flexible materials, while some of the larger ones are rigid. Generally screen protectors are applied to the device with some form of tack or adhesive on the back of the screen protector. ![]() Get all Screen Protectors articles via
