New York Real Estate

by Patricia Cagle

New York state offers some of the most stunning real estate in the world. From the magnificent apartment buildings that brush the skies of Manhattan to the classic New England-style homes that dot the landscapes of Albany, there are lots of options from which to choose. The fun is in deciding which property best suits your needs.

The most important aspect of New York real estate selection is, of course, deciding where in the state you'd like to live. Although New York state is often synonymous with New York City, Manhattan is but one of dozens of charming places to call home. Depending on your personal aesthetic and budget (as well as your professional needs), you shouldn't have too much trouble narrowing the options.

Some of New York's most popular real estate these days can be found just outside of Manhattan in the counties of Putnam, Dutchess, and Orange. New York City professionals who don't wish to live in the city have been snatching up property in these counties. The commute into the city is relatively easy, yet the cost of living is decidedly cheaper.

The great thing about New York real estate is the fact there are so many options. Whether you are looking for a small studio apartment in the city that never sleeps, or a single-family home in the Hudson Valley, rest assured that the odds are good that you'll find exactly what you are looking for. A magnificent state that is equal parts beauty and rich cultural texture, New York is a terrific place to call home.
