Binghamton New York Real Estate

by Patricia Cagle

Binghamton is a small New York city ideally positioned at the junction of the Chenango and Susquehanna Rivers. A lovely community full of charm and sophistication, Binghamton offers both domestic tranquility and industrial opportunity to its residents. A beautiful city with as much cultural flavor as physical beauty, Binghamton is a great place to call home.

One of the things for which Binghamton is well-known is its industrial community. The conception point of IBM as well as the Link Flight Simulator, Binghamton has a well-earned reputation as host to many flagship corporations. Some of these companies include Lockheed-Martin, Universal Instruments, IBM, Rockwell Collins, and Endicott Technologies.

With so many large corporations nearby, it's no wonder that Binghamton's residential tapestry is so rich. Most inhabitants of Binghamton will attest to the community's multi-dimensional charm as well as its friendly atmosphere. Not that life in Binghamton is all about work--quite the contrary! Residents of Binghamton definitely know how to have fun. This is evident by the six magnificent carousels found in and about the city. Magnificent pieces of amusement art that operate year-round at no charge, the Binghamton Carousels have earned the town the reputation as the Carousel Capital of the World.

Binghamton is a great place to live in that it perfectly combines a successful industrial economy with charming residential communities. Real estate in the area is extremely affordable and is a terrific investment. Whether you're new to New York or are an East Coast native, Binghamton real estate is a solid option.
