New Harry Potter Book

A new Harry Potter book brings with it anticipation like few other things in life. Legions of fans line up around bookstores, sometimes in the middle of the night, to procure their copy as soon as possible. They know that a maze of magic awaits them within the pages of the newest chapter in Harry's life.

The latest Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, certainly lived up to expectations. Clocking in as the longest read in the Harry Potter series, this epic explored some of the dark truths that arose at the end of the fourth installment. As the members of the wizarding world prepare to defend themselves against He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, Harry and his friends look around in secret for ways they too can help.

New Harry Potter Books Coming Up!

While there is no solid news about new Harry Potter books, there are some rumors floating around as to what the upcoming volumes will bring. It's fairly certain that the series will end after book seven, which will signal Harry's graduation year. Also well-known is the concept that Harry will have to face Lord Voldemort again, and, due to their dual nature, only one of them will survive.

As to specifics, the sixth book is rumored to be titled Harry Potter and the Green Torch. Most likely to be released in 2005, it may include a scene in which the three friends face off with Lord Voldemort, with Hermione sustaining an injury. The seventh and final book may involve a story line in which one Hogwarts student becomes a professor.
