New Raleigh Durham Homes

by Kathleen Gagne

Buying a brand new home can be incredibly exciting. Not only do you usually have a lot of options in terms of choosing the final interior detail such as carpet, tile, and doorknobs, but you also have a better idea of what you're getting. New home builders are held to strict standards, and your new home will have been inspected at almost every stage of its construction.

Because there has been a steady growth in the population of the Triangle Research area of North Carolina over the last two decades, new Raleigh Durham homes are available in a variety of types and architectural styles. This includes neighborhoods ranging from urban to suburban and gated to golf and to country. The type of neighborhoods you investigate are as important as the style of the home you're looking for.

Raleigh Builders

Currently in Raleigh, you can find new mid-rise condos from around the $90s. Patio homes are available from a little over $100,000. You can find a nice new home with around 1,800 square feet of living space, three bedrooms, two baths, and a 2-car garage for around $170,000. Depending on the neighborhood, you can also find a similar home for twice that amount.

Subdivisions like Sawyer's Mill, Crooked Creek, Meadowview, and Briar Creek Country Club all offer great new homes in family-friendly settings that are loaded with amenities. Larger higher-end homes can be found in Barton Park, Woodsprings, and Inman Park. Many of the new homes also offer great school districts, access to excellent shopping, and even, in some cases, central Raleigh locations.
