Fuel Additives

Fuel additives, like oil filters, are used to help improve the performance of gasoline. Simply by adding it to the contents of your fuel tank, you can clean your fuel injectors, carburetors and intake valves. The additive can also dissolve varnish and carbon deposits.

Some fuel additives can be used in both carburetor and fuel-injected systems. By getting rid of deposits and contaminants, the additive improves the performance of your engine. It also cuts your engine's exhaust emissions by up to 90 percent.

How to Use Fuel Additives

If a clean-running system is important to you, then fuel additives are a great investment for a small price. The starting mechanism, response and engine idle can all be improved by the addition of a gasoline or diesel fuel additive. What's more, initially adding six ounces of additive to ten gallons of gas can restore up to 95% of the original fuel flow to the injector.

After the initial dose, you can give smaller doses of one ounce of gasoline additive for every ten gallons. This will clean your injectors and other fuel system components. Your vehicle will run more smoothly and with much greater fuel economy.
