Hair Transplant Stories

by Charles Peacock

Going bald is no picnic, and figuring out a way to fix or stop your receding hairline can be a frustrating part of the equation. There are tons of people out there trying to sell all sorts of different types of hair loss solutions. It can be difficult to tell what's real and what it is simply quack medicine.

Getting Hair Transplant Information First Hand

The best way to get information about a particular procedure is always from the horse's mouth. Most hair transplant clinics offer testimonials on their websites, but it's still difficult to tell if you're really reading the words of a happy patient. And if you don't personally know someone who has undergone the procedure, you may be at a loss as to where you can find real stories from real people.

One solution is to simply hunt around on the Internet, paying particular attention to which websites are and are not sponsored by doctors or pharmaceutical companies. There are plenty of hair loss websites out there, and some of them include the unedited stories of people who have had hair transplant surgery. Keep in mind, however, that someone else's experience may not be the same as yours, so you should take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Probably the best way to learn first-hand about these procedures is to talk to someone in person who has had a hair transplant. Many clinics will be able to put you in touch with former patients so you can talk to them about your concerns and see how it worked out for them. Again, however, remember that they're not going to point you in the direction of people who were unhappy with their results.
