DVD Gamecube Rental"The Simpsons: Hit and Run" is a popular new Nintendo Gamecube rental based on the hit animated TV series. The game consists of driving missions throughout the town of Springfield. Like "Grand Theft Auto," the action takes place both in and out of cars, as the game alternates between a driving challenge and a third-person adventure. At the beginning of the game, gamers can choose to play as one of several characters from the TV show. As the story progresses, additional characters and vehicles are unlocked, enabling a wider selection. Like "The Simpsons: Road Rage," this game successfully injects the humor and sensibility of the show into a video game format. The game was made with the assistance of writers for the show, adding to the authenticity. "The Simpsons" voice actors also provide their talents for the game, giving it the feel of an actual episode of the show. DVD Gamecube Rental Suggestions"Donkey Konga" for the Nintendo Gamecube is the latest entry in a long-running video game franchise that began in 1981 with the original "Donkey Kong" arcade game. The game, featuring several characters from the popular series, can accommodate up to four players, and comes with a special conga drum input, which acts as the controller for this unique adventure. Unlike the majority of video games, which rely on hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes for controlling the outcome of the game, "Donkey Konga" requires players to compete with rhythm. Using the included Conga Drum interface, players must hammer out a variety of beats in order to control the characters in the game. Gamers drum along with a variety of songs, ranging from vintage jingles, to video game themes, to folk standards, to pop hits. Players are rewarded for their accuracy with points that can be used in the game to purchase additional sound schemes, expanding "Donkey Konga's" musical possibilities. ![]() Get all Movie Rentals articles via
