350 Jet Ram

by Jeremy Horelick

The 350 Jet Ram engine harkens back to an earlier era of motor manufacturing. Back in the '50s, the Jet Ram was the name given to GM's line of fuel-injected engines. Today, the manufacturer is reviving the brand thanks to its new electronic port system that can be used in small-block and big-block engines alike.

The 350 Jet Ram delivers electronic fuel-injection for formerly carburated vehicles. If you've got an old hot-rod from the '60s or early '70s, the 350 will fit right in and deliver maximum performance and drivability. This is due largely to its MEFI3 controller, which GM originally developed for boats but has now updated for use in its automotive engines as well.

More Details of the 350 Jet Ram

The Jet Ram crate motor features Vortec heads and the renowned Jet Ram induction system. Like any other GM crate engine, the 350 is user-friendly, requiring only a 12V power supply (and fuel, of course). Install it in your street-rod, and within minutes you're out on the open road.

And while the 350 provides a veritable kick, it's more than just power that will sell you on the engine. Its throwback styling is part of its appeal as well, especially to car enthusiasts of a bygone era. With loads of power, style, and performance, the 350 is a do-it-all motor for your classic ride.
