Bible Study Tools

by Jessica Duquette

Why Bible Study Tools Are Effective

Bible study tools are probably the most important resource educators need in order to teach the word of God. Years ago, the only tool that was used to describe and teach Christianity was the bible. While the bible has fantastic depictions of Christ's work, many children and young adults find it difficult to understand.

To overcome these obstacles, Christian publishers have come up with a series of tools that better explain the who, what and where of Christianity. From interactive exercises and re-worded biblical stories, young people now have the elements they need in order to understand the significance that Christ plays in each of their lives. If you are still relying on the St. James version of the Old Testament to teach your bible classes, I strongly urge you to expand your lesson plan.

New, Improved Resources

Bible study tools aren't necessarily work books or leather-bound bibles. Movies, music and youth group activities all work together to create an effective course of Christian study. While many of these tools have been around for several years, the interest level in Christian groups is growing rapidly. Do you know why?

The internet is the reason that many Christian groups are using the same tools and philosophies to teach their classes. Discussion forums on the web have enabled educators to share successes and failures. Based on this information, more and more Christian study groups are successfully spreading the message.
