Plastic Injection Mold Company

by Jill Morrison

A plastic injection mold company manufactures plastic parts. The parts can be made with injection molding machines. The machines are very expensive, but they are quick and precise for molding.

Plastic Injection Mold Company Characteristics

A plastic injection mold company may choose from two different types of machines, depending on the size of their products. Large machines are great for manufacturing many medium to large parts. Micro machines are less expensive and are designed to be accurate with small plastic parts.

Injection molding starts with melting plastic pellets. Once a liquid is formed, it can be injected into a specific mold. The part can be removed from the mold after it has cooled.

A plastic injection mold company should pay careful attention to the design of each product. Walls can be thick or thin, but should be even. It is also helpful to create products with some angles and rounded corners so that they can be removed easily from the mold after cooling.
