Support Guidelines

by Jessica Duquette

Support guidelines for enlisting the help of third party agencies in your claim for child support, are easily found on the internet. Since there are some states that prohibit the assistance of child recovery services, you should first find out if you apply for these services. If you don't, you may be forced to use regular state resources.

Important Support Guidelines

First and foremost, you must already have a court ordered statement claiming child or spousal support. Support recovery agencies cannot argue your case for child support if the state has not already granted it. You may want to consider talking to your attorney in order to get your claim presented in front of the court.

When reading support guidelines you may be asked if the absent parent has ever been convicted of a crime. This will play an important part in the collection of your child support money. Answer all questions truthfully and to the best of your knowledge.

Nation-Wide Support Claims

You may have already filed your claim in several states. This means you have simultaneous investigations going on. A third party agency can work to close all of your claims and collect most of your support money.
