Paying Child Support

by Jessica Duquette

Paying child support is a responsibility as a parent. If you do not have primary custody of your children, you may have been ordered by the court to pay a weekly or monthly fee. This money, though a significant part of your earnings, is for the well being of your child.

Why Aren't They Paying Child Support?

Without these payments, your child may not be getting the food, education, clothing and support that he or she needs in their adolescent years. Only a small percentage of due child support is paid out to deserving children. The remainder stays in the pockets of deadbeat dads.

You can combat this situation by hiring a third party firm to recover your money. Paying child support is an obligation that is enforced, though not strictly, by law. If the federal government can't collect the money on your behalf, where can you turn for help?

Outstanding Collection Rates

The aggressive approach to collection may seem extreme for some, but the results are worth it. More than 70% of claims that are followed up on by a private organization are successfully collected. This could mean a significant difference in your financial standing and the health and wellness of your child.
