Instant Credit Report

by Scott Martin

Everybody should learn what's on an instant credit report, what lenders review, and how to get a free credit report when denied a loan. Anyone who denies you in response to a credit report provided by a credit report agency is required to supply the name, address, and telephone number of the credit reporting agency that provided the report. You have every right to know what is on your credit report.

Obtaining a Free Instant Credit Report

If a company takes action against you based on your instant credit report, you are authorized to obtain a free credit report as long as you request it within 60 days. You can also request one free report a year if you can prove that you are unemployed and plan on looking for a job within 60 days. You are also entitled to a free report if you're on welfare or if your report is inaccurate due to fraud.

Another situation when you should order a credit report is when you are about to go through a divorce. You need to locate all of your joint debts. It is always possible that you will forget about some joint debts, and you definitely want to have those resolved. Also, you never know if there are debts that your soon-to-be ex has obtained secretly.

Your credit report and rating is a representation of how well you deal with credit and how worthy you are of being extended new credit. Even when you are young, it is important to keep your credit up to par, as it could hurt you in the long run.
